  • Applications came from teams across five continents, with nearly half targeting AI and agent projects.
  • The season’s newest pool, dedicated to agent-economy infrastructure, became the program’s most in-demand track in its first season.

Prezenti, the community-governed program that has funded Celo builders since 2022, has closed its latest season, distributing $130K+ in ecosystem grants. The newly funded cohort of 19 projects spans agent infrastructure and tooling, stablecoin payments, and onchain gaming, selected from 75 applications submitted by teams across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Every funded team was already live on Celo, with grants tied to usage and early onchain traction.

Frontier, a pool introduced this season to fund the infrastructure enhancing Celo’s rails for autonomous agents (identity and discovery, agent-to-agent transactions, verification, and AI-native developer tooling), became the program’s most in-demand track within a single season, drawing 47% of all Season 2 applications. This traction comes as Celo’s agentic ecosystem emerges as one of the strongest in crypto, consistently ranking in the top five chains by reviews and number of agents, with native projects including Prezenti Almond grantee Esusu topping the 8004scan leaderboard for months.

African builders led Season 2 applications overall, and half of all Frontier submissions came from the continent. Celo builders across Africa have consistently driven growth and adoption of the network since launch, leveraging the leading programmable rails for global finance to launch stablecoin payment apps, DeFi protocols, and onchain games, many emerging from Celo incubators and builder initiatives into global markets.

“Celo’s rich ecosystem of globally diverse builders is the heartbeat of the network, continuing to drive its evolution and growth since mainnet launch on Earth Day 2020,” said Anna Tudhope, Celo Core Co. Head of Growth. “Prezenti is a critical partner in supporting founders worldwide, and this season continues their pivotal work funding the projects that further Celo’s mission.”

Season 2’s 19 funded projects, as of July 2026, join a portfolio built over four years: more than 575 applications received, 120+ grant contracts signed, and $2M deployed from Celo’s community treasury. Projects that have grown to a global scale with support from Prezenti over the years include Glo Dollar, Brale, BitGifty, and more.

“We received 75 impressive applications this season, all evaluated based on projects’ existing user base, onchain impact, and core ecosystem alignment,” said Maya Brown, Prezenti Co-Founder. “Even with years of experience in supporting Celo-native builders, each cohort manages to impress our team and excite us about the future of the ecosystem. The energy and commitment builders have, especially around agentic solutions, are a strong sign of what’s to come.”

Teams that received funding this season include:

  • Frontier Pool: Aigora, Celina
  • Anchor Pool: BitGifty, Trenchverse
  • Boost Pool: Ashara Studios, Blockfall, Blokaz, Cencori, CupMaster, Fantasy Tier, FocusPet, Holdstation, HumanFi, Jamit, Jokers of Neon, Mavu, Nukko, Sikadesk/iExchange, Tycoon
